TRF Chronicles

This is a Chronicle of House Morningstar at the Texas Renaissance Festival

Since the Texas Renaissance Festival opening in October 1975, members of House Morningstar have been working at the TRF. In fact, Telbyrne has was involved in the pre-publicity that summer of 1975 and now that the Festival is in its 33rd season, we thought we would chronicle House Morningstar this season at the TRF. There will be photos and quick notes in this chronicle. Some of these will be things that are going on around our booth, the people that  we know and some will be behind the scenes of the show.

Enjoy the story.

This is the weekend before the Opening Weekend. We have cut a path to get to the back of our booth through the six foot tall weeds.

Below: Telbyrne is cleaning the rest of the weeds so we can get our vehicle to the booth.

This is the section of booths at the TRF where you can find House Morningstar. We are in the Onion Dome. Our booth was built in 1978 and 1979 and we acquired it in 1989. We actually designed and built the big one next door (now Valentine Armory) between 1984 and 1989 when it was the Society for Creative Anachronism occupying the space.

E Muzeki plays on the Dove Meadow Stage across from House Morningstar. We love their music! A mix of Gypsy, Spanish, Celtic and Mediterranean music.
